Our founder
From the USS Blue Ridge to your closing table
Title Base was founded by U.S. Navy veteran Trent Brands on one principle: service.
The mission
Service is the whole reason we exist
Trent Brands believes in empowering local heroes by lowering their cost of homeownership. That belief is why Title Base started the Hometown Heroes Boost — reducing closing costs for former or active military members, first responders, teachers, and those in the medical field.
Title Base is a company built on the principle of service — dedicated to helping veterans, first responders, teachers, and medical professionals secure housing in Southwest Florida amid rising home costs.
See the Hometown Heroes BoostMilitary career
In 2010, Trent enlisted in the United States Navy, serving honorably until 2013 when he left as a Boatswain’s Mate Second Class Petty Officer. While enlisted he was assigned to Command Seventh Fleet aboard the USS Blue Ridge in Yokosuka, Japan, responsible for ship operations, deck management, and assisting in official events for foreign dignitaries and high-ranking officers.
During his service he earned the Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist (ESWS) designation, and his performance earned multiple awards — Bluejacket of the Year (2011), Junior Sailor of the Year (2012), and the Navy Achievement Medal (2012).
He played a critical role in Operation Tomodachi, the U.S.–Japan humanitarian relief mission after the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami, contributing to logistics that helped deliver over 280 tons of supplies and support Fukushima recovery operations. For his efforts he received the Joint Meritorious Service Medal. Throughout his career he traveled to 13 countries across Southeast Asia, volunteering in most.
Early life
Trent was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio, growing up with a strong sense of teamwork, discipline, and determination. At Springboro High School he was a standout football player, earning 1st Team All-GWOC Conference honors, and won the school’s Lift-a-Thon for his weight division — setting the stage for a life built on hard work and leadership.
Real estate career
After his military service, Trent transitioned into real estate in 2014, channeling his discipline into helping families achieve homeownership. He began as a licensed agent handling residential and commercial sales throughout Dayton and Cincinnati, later expanding to Florida. He developed expertise in property investment, home flipping, and short-term rental management, earning recognition as an Airbnb Superhost.
From 2014 to 2020 he built a strong foundation as a trusted real estate professional in Ohio before relocating to Florida and pivoting into title services. In 2022 he founded his first title company, growing it before selling his share in 2025 — the same year he established Title Base, continuing to serve others with integrity, expertise, and a mission rooted in honor, hard work, and community.
